Ah, Arthur! This was a greatttt read!

I got a new role this week as a project management executive intern! ☺️ Honestly, that's a great feeling.

But, seeing myself working in a different culture, with a different time zone, the first two days were hectic.

I was trying to understand everything going on at once! πŸ˜‚

Someone said "I was too courteous. " Oh, no! I was only hiding my uncertainty!

This message, is what I need now at this point. Thank you! It was meant for me!

Hello Jessica,

First of all, congratulations for the new role !!

You are right, especially with international projects. How much of a time zone difference your project team has?

Feel free to ask questions about how things work in the new project. Is important to have an understanding of the environment and what are the concerns of the decision-makers.

I am happy to read this post could help in any way!

Everything will be just fine, you got this :)

Uhhh, my team are way ahead of me with 4hrs, 30 mins!

I log in everyday around 6:25am, and would have loved to enjoy my sleep - to an extent. But, the joy of starting out a new role. That feeling, Arthur! πŸ˜„

My team-mates are kind. And you know, I've always been hearing about "agile", "agile", wondering how it's really carried out, until when I had my first sprint reporting, today! It feels real!

The only time when I have issues is thinking about the project itself, and knowing if I'm doing the right thing or not.

Is it proper I ask for feedback from my Senior Manager concerning how I work?

Uau, so early! I understand why the timezone difference is such an issue.

It's ok to analyse your performance and request feedback from your direct manager. If the feedback is factual, it will be a great source for learning and improving.

You are doing great, Jessica πŸ’ͺ
